ADVANTIDGE, in partnership with HID Global, is pleased to announce the introduction of vanGO® on May 27, 2015. This new solution enables users to add unique One-2-OneTM visual ID card security features to their personalized card to guard against counterfeiting and the replication of someone’s identity. vanGO cards include a hot-stamped foil where an image of the cardholder can be written onto the card, creating an additional barrier against forgery attempts and making the card truly unique to the cardholder.
The new vanGO solution is comprised of cards, an ID card printer, and software components:
- Cards: vanGO and vanGO Custom cards
- Hardware: The FARGO® HDP8500LW is a new upgrade module that can be added to HDP8500 printers to add support for the laser writing of vanGO cards, while a vanGO Desktop Laser Writer is available for use in other applications.
- Software: AsureID® Exchange versions 7.6 and above include support for the HDP8500LW, while various SDKs will be made available for applications where customized software is required.
Some of the benefits provided to end-users adopting the new vanGO solution include:
- Personalized security. Each card can be encoded with a unique image of the cardholder to create an easy to authenticate, but a highly secure feature.
- Quick Authentication. The personalized image of the cardholder on the vanGO foil is easy to validate, tamper evident, and difficult to replicate; thwarting attempts at counterfeiting and forgery.
- The low total cost of ownership. As compared to other personalized security features on the market today, vanGO offers low up-front investment and reoccurring consumables costs.
- Ease of use. The vanGO solution offers end users a highly secure, counterfeit-resistant solution that is intuitive and easy to use.
- High-resolution micro images. With vanGO Custom, it is possible to produce holographic images with resolutions of 25,000 or greater dots-per-inch (DPI), enabling highly detailed images to be created at microscopic sizes.
