Other oversized ID card printers require pre-printing cards in order to completely cover their surface, but the SCC-4000D prints full color across an entire ID card surface on the spot, meaning that ID cards can be redesigned and printed fresh from season to season and event to event! The SCC-4000D prints quickly, and ink cartridges last for a long time before running low on ink. Ink cartridges for the SCC-4000D can print 5,000 times on 3.5” x 5.5” oversized ID cards based on 1/3 of the card being white before needing a replacement.
To ensure your Swiftcolor printer’s longevity and superior print quality, it is not recommended for traveling. Please be cautious of fingerprints on the printable surface of your blank ID cards prior to passing them through a Swiftcolor printer. Be sure to clean the machine using the manufacturer cleaning cards and only move the printer after putting it into travel mode.
