AdvantIDge, in partnership with HID Global, has recently announced the release of two new extensions to the iCLASS SE® access control solutions.
iCLASS SE® R90 Extended Range Readers
iCLASS SE R90 Extended Range Readers offer a secure, extended range parking and gate control solution. Users can activate parking gates or other access controls comfortably from inside the vehicle. The readers’ antennae and electronics are engineered for a range of up to 15 inches with the flexibility and heightened security of smart card technology. Equipped with rugged, protective housing, the readers are weather resistant and easy to install. They also include a high-intensity LED for clear visual feedback, even in direct sunlight, as well as distinct tone sequences that indicate status conditions.
- Convenient – A reading distance of (15 inches) allows cardholders to access parking controls comfortably from within the vehicle.
- Powerfully secure – Provides additional encryption protecting identity data through the Secure Identity Object® (SIO®) data model and is built on the Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) for secure communications between the reader and controller.
- Interoperable – Supports multiple form factors and credential technologies including, iCLASS SE, standard iCLASS®, MIFARE®, MIFARE DESfire® EV1, and HID Mobile Access® powered by Seos®.
iCLASS SE® and multiCLASS SE® Magnetic Stripe Readers
This family of readers allows gradual migration from legacy technologies to the latest high-frequency solutions for increased security and functionality. iCLASS SE and multiCLASS SE Magnetic Stripe support a broad range of magnetic stripe, proximity, and contactless smart card credentials. Additionally, these readers are upgradable to support HID Mobile Access®, making it possible to leverage existing investments as business requirements change.
Magnetic stripe readers are ideal for the higher education market where magnetic stripe credentials are prevalent. They can also be used in any industry or facility where the move from legacy magnetic stripe cards to more secure, convenient high-frequency credentials for physical access is desired.
